SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSWARNING!Read and understand all instructions. Failureto follow all instructions listed below mayresult in electric shock, fire and/or seriouspersonal injury:BATTERY PACKFor Use Only With 60LFC01-ETL or60LFC02-ETL Charger.■ Recharge only with the charger specifiedby the manufacturer and listed in the ProductSpecifications in this manual. A charger thatis suitable for one type of battery pack maycreate a risk of fire when used with anotherbattery pack.■ Keep battery pack away from children.■ Do not expose the battery to water or saltwater. You should place the battery in a cooland dry environment.■ Do not charge battery in a damp or wetlocation. Following this rule will reduce therisk of electric shock.■ Do not place the battery in high-temperature locations, such as near fire orheater.■ Do not place battery powered tools or theirbatteries near fire or heat. This will reducethe risk of explosion and possibly injury.■ Do not dispose of battery packs in fire.They will explode or leak and cause injury.Liquid ejected from the battery may causeirritation or burns.■ Do not disassemble the battery.■ Do not open or mutilate the batteries.Released electrolyte is corrosive and maycause damage to the eyes or skin. It may betoxic if swallowed.■ Do not reverse the positive terminal and thenegative terminal of the battery.■ Do not connect the positive terminal andthe negative terminal of the battery to eachother with any metal objects.■ Do not solder directly onto the battery orpierce the battery with nails or other edgetools.■ Do not knock or strike the battery, nor stepon it.■ Do not crush, drop or damage the batterypack. Do not use a battery pack that hasbeen dropped or received a sharp blow. Adamaged battery is subject to explosion.Properly dispose of a dropped or damagedbattery immediately.■ Batteries can explode in the presence ofa source of ignition, such as a pilot light. Toreduce the risk of serious personal injury,never use any cordless product in thepresence of open flame. An exploded batterycan propel debris and chemicals. If exposedflush with water immediately.■ Under extreme usage or temperatureconditions, battery leakage may occur;liquid may be ejected from the battery: avoidcontact. If liquid comes in contact with yourskin, wash immediately with soap and water,then neutralize with lemon juice or vinegar.If liquid gets into your eyes, do not rub eyes.Flush eyes with clean water for at least10 minutes, then seek immediate medicalattention. Following this rule will reduce therisk of serious personal injury.■ When battery pack is not in use, keep otaway from other metal objects like: paperclips, cons, keys, nails, screws, or other smallmetal objects that can makes a connectionfrom one terminal to another. Storing thebattery terminals together may cause sparksburns, or a fire.■ Immediately discontinue use of the batteryif it emits an unusual smell, feels hot,changes color, changes shape, or appearsabnormal in any other way.3 ― English |
