The door should be fully closed ifpossible.2. Pull down on the emergency releasehandle so the trolley release armsnaps to the vertical position. Thedoor can now be raised and loweredas often as necessary.TO RE-CONNECT THE TROLLEY1. Pull the emergency release handletoward the garage door opener sothe trolley release arm snaps to thehorizontal position. The trolley willreconnect on the next UP or DOWNoperation, either manually or byusing the door control or remotecontrol.To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH from a fallinggarage door:l If possible, use emergency release handle to disengagetrolley ONLY when garage door is CLOSED. Weak or brokensprings or unbalanced door could result in an open doorfalling rapidly and/or unexpectedly.l NEVER use emergency release handle unless garage doorwayis clear of persons and obstructions.l NEVER use handle to pull door open or closed. If rope knotbecomes untied, you could fall.Care of Your OpenerMAINTENANCE SCHEDULEEvery monthl Manually operate door. If it is unbalanced or binding, call atrained door systems technician.l Check to be sure door opens and closes fully. Adjust ifnecessary, see page 28.l Test the safety reversal system. Adjust if necessary, seepage 30.Twice a yearl Check chain tension. Disconnect trolley first. Adjust ifnecessary, see page 11.Every yearl Oil door rollers, bearings and hinges. The garage door openerdoes not require additional lubrication. Do not grease thedoor tracks.THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERYTo prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH:l NEVER allow small children near batteries.l If battery is swallowed, immediately notify doctor.To reduce risk of fire, explosion or chemical burn:l Replace ONLY with 3V CR2032 coin batteries.l DO NOT recharge, disassemble, heat above 212°F (100°C) orincinerate.123Pry open the case first in themiddle (1), then at each side(2 and 3) with the visor clip.The Lithium battery should producepower for up to 3 years.To replace battery, use the visor clip orscrewdriver blade to pry open the caseas shown. Insert battery positive sideup (+).Replace the battery with only 3VCR2032 coin cell batteries.
