Float/Cage AssemblyWARNING: For your own safety,never connect plug to power sourceoutlet until all assembly steps arecomplete and you have read andunderstood the safety and operationinstructions. Do not operate vac withany parts damaged or missing.1. Remove the detachable blower from thepower head assembly by pressingdown on the power head latch beneaththe carry handle of the detachableblower. Set the detachable blower off tothe side. Place lid upside down ondrum.2. Locate the float and filter cage. (Thefloat is inside the loose parts bag.)3. Place the float over the center openingin the lid with the words "This sidetowards lid" laying face down over thehole. (See illustration.)WARNING: To reduce the risk ofpersonal injury or damage to vac besure to keep hands, fingers, or anyother foreign objects out of the cen-ter opening when assembling thefloat.4. Line up the filter cage tabs as shownwith the slots in the center ring of the lidassembly. Push on the filter cage untilthe tabs snap into the slots for a securefit.NOTE: If filter cage needs to be removed,because the float is placed in the wrongway, use a flat blade screwdriver andinsert the blade near one of the tabsbetween the filter cage and the center ringof the lid. Pry the tab out of the slot. Tiltthe cage and lift away from the lid. Toreplace, follow float/cage assemblyinstructions.DetachableDru!
