Operation (continued)4. When the liquid in the drum reaches apredetermined level, the float mecha-nism will rise automatically to cut off air-flow. When this happens, turn off thevac, unplug the power cord, and emptythe drum. You will know that the floathas risen because vac airflow ceasesand the motor noise will become higherin pitch, due to increased motor speed.IMPORTANT: To reduce the risk of dam-age to the vac do not run motor with floatin raised position.Emptying Dust DrumWARNING: To reduce the risk ofinjury from accidental starting,unplug power cord before emptyingthe drum.1. To remove the lid to empty contents ofthe dust drum, simply lift the two drumlatches at the front and rear of the dustdrum and lift the lid assembly up and offthe dust drum and set to the side.NOTE: Do not pick up the lid assemblyby lifting on the handle to the detach-able blower. Lift the lid assembly by thelatches. This will ensure that thedetachable blower and the lid will notseparate during removal of the lidassembly.2. Lay the lid assembly upside down on aclean dry area while emptying the drumor changing the filter.3. Dump the drum contents into theproper waste disposal container.Latch4. If the contents are liquid, you may dis-pose by using the drain provided in thedrum for easy emptying. Simplyunscrew the drain cap and allow the liq-uid to drain completely out of the vacdrum.WARNING: To reduce the risk ofback injury or falls, do not lift a vacheavy with liquid or debris. Scoop ordrain enough contents out to makethe vac light enough to lift comfort-ably.10
