1937The Cisco 7961 IP telephone provides easy access to awide range of business features.Phone Overview• Backlit buttons• Soft Keys• Navigation button• Directory Button• Settings Button• Services Button• Messages Button• Information Button• Volume Button• Speaker Button• Mute Button• Headset ButtonBasic Phone HandlingTO PLACE A CALLInternal• Lift Handset, press the Speaker button, line button orthe New Call soft key• Dial ExtensionExternal• Lift Handset, press the Speaker button, line button orthe New Call soft key• Local – Dial 9 + Number• Long Distance – Dial 9 + 1 + NumberLAST NUMBER REDIAL• Press the REDIAL soft keyCALL HOLDTo Place a Call on Hold• From an existing conversation, press the HOLD softkeyTo Retrieve a Call on Hold• Press the RESUME soft key• If there are multiple calls on hold, scroll to the desiredline before pressing the RESUME soft keyTO TRANSFER A CALL• During a call, press the TRANSFER soft key• Dial the number• Announce the call• Press the TRANSFER soft key to complete thetransfer, hang upOR• If the person you attempt to transfer the call to is notavailable, press the END CALL soft key andthe RESUME soft key to return to the original callerCALL FORWARD• When your phone is idle, press the CFWDALL softkey• Enter the number, OR press MESSAGE key forsending calls directly to VoicemailTo Cancel• Press the CFWDALL soft keyAD-HOC CONFERENCE (maximum of 4)While a call is in progress, press the MORE soft key andthen press the CONFRN soft key. Dial the extension oroutside number.• After the party answers, press the CONFRN soft keyto bring the parties togetherTo add additional parties• Repeat the above stepsTo reconnect to the Conference when a called party isn’tjoining• If the person you attempt to bring into the conferenceis not available, press the END CALL soft key andthen the RESUME soft key to return to the conferencecallMEET- ME CONFERENCETo establish a Meet Me conference• Press the MORE soft key until you see the MEET-MEfeature• Press the MEET-ME soft key• Dial the MEET-ME conference number (1309, 1310)To Join a Meet-Me Conference• Dial the MEET-ME conference number (which will bepublished to you upon use of conference function)• You are now connected to the conferencePICK UPIf your group is set up in software• When a phone is ringing within your group• Press the MORE soft key until you see PICK UP, thenselect the feature• The call will begin ringing on your phone with thecaller Id of the person the call was for• To accept the call, press the ANSWER soft key• You are now connectedCALL PARKTo Park a Call (extensions 1220-1239)• On an existing call, press the MORE soft key and thenthe PARK soft key, the call is automatically placedinto a park position, note the position• Hang UpTo Retrieve a Parked Call• Dial the park position to which the call wasparked, you are now connected |
