UT20 and UT30 Universal Towers12FIGURE 7-6. RFM18 base dimensionsAttach the bottom section of the tower to the RFM18 base by using one9/16-inch bolt per leg (FIGURE 7-7). Position the base over the anchor holes.Secure the base to the anchors by using appropriate hardware (user supplied).Check the tower for plumb and shim the RFM18, if necessary, before fullytightening the bolts.When using the RFM18, the user-supplied mounting hardwaremust be capable of withstanding the Maximum Wind Load givenin Section 6, Specifications (p. 7). See Note 2 in that section for adescription of factors that affect wind load. In addition, the towermust make use of guy wires to further increase the stability of thetower.NOTE
