Locate the pedestrian access where there is not a chance of INJURY at anypoint during full movement of the gate.• Contact sensors MUST be located at the leading and trailing edges, and postmounted both inside and outside a horizontal slide gate. Non-contact sensorssuch as photo eyes MUST be mounted across the gate opening and operateduring BOTH the open and close cycles.• Entrapment protection devices MUST be installed to protect anyone who maycome near a moving gate.• Locate entrapment protection devices to protect in BOTH the open and closegate cycles.• Locate entrapment protection devices to protect between moving gate and RIGIDobjects, such as posts or walls.• Too much force on gate will interfere with proper operation of safety reversalsystem.• NEVER increase force beyond minimum amount required to move gate.• NEVER use force adjustments to compensate for a binding or sticking gate.• If one control (force or travel limits) is adjusted, the other control may alsoneed adjustment.• ANY maintenance to the operator or in the area near the operator MUST NOTbe performed until disconnecting the electrical power. The gate MUST reverse on contact with a rigidobject or reverse when an object activates the non-contact sensors. Afteradjusting the force or the limit of travel, retest the gate operator.
