Security System | User's Guide | Part I: Security System Basics - Fire AlarmsThe system will now display *Alarm Silenced* … and thenthe number of points in alarm (# FIRE ALARMS) and thenthe area text appears (AREA 1 NAME TEXT) followed bythe custom text of all the points in alarm (SMOKEDETECTOR), in the order of occurrence.If there is more than one point causing an alarm, the displaywill show each point for three seconds before showing thenext one.When the last alarm is shown, the next display is the firstalarm.Your system may be programmed so that you cannot silencesome fire alarms until the fire event clears. EnteringCOMMAND 4 clears the scrolling point text from the display.The *Alarm Silenced* message will continue to alternatewith idle text as a reminder that it is still possible to view thetext of the points in alarm by using the View Memoryfunction (refer to VIEW MEMORY ? (COMMAND + 4 + 0) onpage 43) for more information.To clear the event memory and remove the *AlarmSilenced* message from the display, press the ClearDisplay> soft key.The display will show the instructions for clearing themessage. Enter a valid passcode and press the Clear> softkey.If a fire trouble still exists, the display shows Fire Trouble. Toremove this display, the fire point(s) must be returned tonormal.If you have not cleared the *Alarm Silenced* display andwish to review cleared events, use COMMAND 40.
