5Enclosure RequirementsWARNINGAvoid Scalding or Electrical Shock Hazard!Make sure the water supply and electrical supply areshut off before installation or service.NOTE: This dishwasher is designed to be enclosed onthe top and both sides by standard residential kitchencabinetry.Select a location as close to the sink as possible for easyaccess to water supply and drain lines. For properdishwasher operation and appearance, ensure that theenclosure is square and has the dimensions shown inFigure 1.Figure 1NOTE: If your dishwasher opening width measures >18in (458 mm) use the TOP OR SIDE MOUNT mountingmethods. If your dishwasher opening width measures177/10 - 18 in (450 - 458 mm) use the ALTERNATE SIDEMOUNT mount-ing method.If the dishwasher is to be installed in a corner, make surethat there is adequate clearance to open the door. In order toavoid interference with the dishwasher when sliding itinto the cabinet, place your openings within thedimensions shown in Figure 3.Figure 3Required Openings:43/4Ǝ x 23/8Ǝ (120 x 60 mm) - To pass the includedelectrical supply junction box through to adjacent cabinet.NOTE: If the incoming electric supply, water supply anddrain connections are all in the same cabinet, the one43/4Ǝ x 23/8Ǝ (120 x 60 mm) hole will be large enough forall three to pass through.4Ǝ x 2Ǝ (100 x 50mm) - To pass the included water supplyline toward the water supply.1 1/4Ǝ (32 mm) diameter - To pass the dishwasher drainhose toward the drain connection.Before sliding the dishwasher into the cabinet,remove the hose clip at the back of the dishwasheras shown in Figure 4.
