9Installation of Rubber Drain Hose AdaptorFor a large port, use the drain hose as it is.1. For a small port, insert the rubber drain hoseadaptor into the drain hose end.2. Obtain the Rubber Drain Hose Adaptor (H)spring clamp from the Dishwasher Installation Kit(do not substitute).3. Insert the drain hose adaptor into the end of thedrain hose (see Figure 14). Be sure to fully insertthe drain hose adaptor.4. Use the clamp provided to attach the drain hoseto the house plumbing as shown in Figure 15.Figure 14Figure 15Installation of Mounting BracketsCAUTIONBefore installing the supplied countertop mountingbrackets, decide which method of securing thedishwasher into its enclosure will be used. Once themounting brackets are installed on the dishwasher,removing them is difficult and will damage the mountingbrackets and the dishwasher.The dishwasher can be secured into its enclosure in2 ways:NOTE: If your dishwasher opening width measures >18in (458 mm) use the TOP OR SIDE MOUNT mountingmethods. If your dishwasher opening width measures17.7 - 18 in (450 - 458 mm) use the ALTERNATE SIDEMOUNT mount-ing method.Top Mount is used for countertops made of woodor other materials that can be easily drilled. Orientthe mounting brackets as shown in Figure 16, andposition the two small tabs on the mountingbrackets over the two slots on the dish-washer’sfront corners. Push the mounting brackets down.Figure 16Side Mount is used for countertops made ofmarble, granite, or other very hard materials thatcannot be easily drilled. Bend the mountingbrackets along the small holes and in the samedirection as the two small tabs. Orient the mountingbrackets as shown in Figure 17, and position thetwo small tabs on the mounting brackets over thetwo slots on the dishwasher’s front corners.
