If an error isdetected the corresponding error code will appearon the display screen. Depending on the type oferror, the drive will also be automatically switchedoff.9.1.1 The drive system or display do notstart upIf the display and/or the drive system do not start up,proceed as follows: Check whether the battery is switched on. Ifnot, start the battery. Contact specialist dealer if the battery levelindicator LEDs do not light up. If the LEDs on the battery level indicator lightup, but the drive system does not start up,remove the battery. Insert the battery. Start the drive system. If the drive system does not start up, removethe battery. Clean all the contacts with a soft cloth. Insert the battery. Start the drive system. If the drive system does not start up, removethe battery. Fully charge the battery. Insert the battery. Start the drive system. If the drive system does not start up, removethe display. Fasten the display. Start the drive system. Contact your specialist dealer if the drivesystem does not start up.9.1.2 Error messagesIf an error message is displayed, run through thefollowing actions: Make a note of the system message. Shut off and re-start the drive system. If the system message is still displayed,remove and then re-insert the battery. Re-start the drive system. If the system message is still displayed,contact your specialist dealer.Risk of fire and explosion due to faulty batteryThe safety electronics may fail if the battery isdamaged or faulty. The residual voltage cancause a short circuit. Batteries may self-ignite andexplode. Batteries with external damage must beremoved from service immediately. Never allow damaged batteries to come intocontact with water. If a battery is dropped or struck but shows nosigns of external damage, remove it fromservice and observe it for at least 24 hours. Faulty batteries are hazardous goods.Dispose of faulty batteries properly and asquickly as possible. Store in a dry place until disposal. Never storein the vicinity of flammable substances.Never open or repair the battery.WARNING!
