Consult ActSafe for more informationand assistance in the test of the rope.A new rope will get an increased service life if itis put to soak in cold water before the first use.Avoid getting sand or dirt onto/into the ropessince it will wear the rope grab and loop. Use arope mat, rope bag or similar.RECOMMENDATIONAlways make sure that the rope is in goodcondition.DANGERRope recommendationsActSafe ACC is designed for 1891 A ropes.However, all 1891 A ropes does not performwell with the ascender. ActSafe has tested avariety of ropes; please see our website formore information.Please read and understand the tips anddirections regarding ropes below and youwill get more out of your ropes as well asyour ActSafe Ascender.As a rule of the thumb one can say thatextremely soft ropes don’t get good grip inthe rope grab. A very soft rope may resultin poor lifting capacity since the rope startsto slip or in the worst-case scenario even ajam.Before using for the first time, new ropesmust be soaked in cold water (20-30 C) forat least 24 hours or according to the ropemanufacturers’ instructions, and allowed todry thoroughly at room temperature beforeusing with the power ascender.NOTE! Not all 1891 A ropes perform in a simi-lar way. They have slightly different characte-ristics (stiff, soft, thick/thin mantle etc). |
