BIOS Utility 3-133.3.4 Operation of ECCThis parameter allows you to enable or disable the error correctionfunction. In the option Correction Enabled, ECC automaticallycorrects any single-bit errors detected. For multiple-bit errorsdetected, ECC only issues an NMI to signal the operating system ofthe multiple-bit error detection.In the option Correction Disabled, ECC detects both single-bitand multiple-bit errors but does not correct either one. It only issuesan NMI to signal the operating system of the error detection.This parameter is grayed if the ECC/Parity Mode Selection parameteris set to either Parity or Disabled . Refer to section 3.3.3.3.3.5 Memory at 15MB-16MBTo prevent memory address conflicts between the system andexpansion boards, reserve this memory range for the use of either thesystem or an expansion board. Before setting this parameter, checkyour add-on card manual to determine if your add-on card needs thismemory space. If not, set this parameter to System Use.
