New features in release 2.6RN-001029-05 REV 00 – 04.2010 37Successful Transfer IndicationPreviously, when a call transfer was made on the phone, and the transfer failed, a mes-sage displayed indicating that the transfer had failed. However, if a call transfer wassuccessful, no message displayed indicating the successful transfer.In Release 2.6, the phone now displays a message when a call transfer is successful.After the call transfer is complete, the following message now displays for 5 seconds:“Call Transferred”.Errors Messages Display when Incorrect Network SettingsPreviously, when an Administrator entered incorrect network settings for specificparameters, the phone did not notify the User that the settings were incorrect. Evenwhen the phone rebooted it accepted the parameters but ignored the incorrect set-tings. These errors include:• A 0.0.0.0 entered as values for the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway parame-ters• IP Address and Gateway IP address parameter values entered exactly the same• Gateway IP address and the IP address parameter values configured on the samesubnetIn Release 2.6, the IP Phone UI AND the Aastra Web UI now immediately notify theAdministrator if an incorrect value is being entered for the above network parametersin the IP Phone UI and the Aastra Web UI. If you configure the Gateway parameter andthe IP Address parameter on the same subnet, the following error message displays:“Gateway IP address and the IP address parameter values configured are not on the samesubnet”
