New features in release 2.6RN-001029-05 REV 00 – 04.2010 29Call Hold Reminder on Single HoldPreviously, the call hold reminder ring splash was triggered when you hung up a calland there was at least one other call on hold. The reminder ring splash timer startedonly when the active call hung up and there was still another call on hold.In Release 2.6, a User or Administrator can enable or disable a feature that would startthe reminder ring splash timer as soon as you put a call on hold (even when no othercalls are active on the phone). When enabled, the phone initiates a reminder ringsplash periodically for the single call on hold. When disabled, no reminder ring splashis audible.You can enable or disable this feature using the “call hold reminder” parameter in theconfiguration files or in the Aastra Web UI.Configuring “Call Hold Reminder” Using the Configuration FilesUse the following parameter to configure this feature using the configuration files.Parameter –call hold reminderCall Hold Reminder(in Web UI)Aastra Web UI: Basic Settings->PreferencesConfiguration Files aastra.cfg, .cfgDescription Enables or disables the reminder ring splash timer to start as soonas you put a call on hold (even when no other calls are active onthe phone).
