With specific exceptions, the installing of any type of AGACooker is subject to the respective directions contained incurrent issue of The Building Regulations. In addition,Planning Permission may need to be obtained, whichshould be applied for separately. The complete range ofAGA cookers are suitable for Natural or Propane gasesonly and cannot be used on any other gas.The complete cooker is floor-mounted and the space inwhich the appliance is to be fitted must have the followingminimum dimensions:-A minimum clearance of 60mm (2 1/2 ”) is required abovethe raised insulating cover handle.Side clearance are zero unless 2 or 4 oven cookers arefitted against a wall, where 116mm (4 1/2”) clearance isrequired at the right hand side for oven doors access (afurther 116mm ( 4 1/2” is necessary if a left hand side gasconnection is required).In addition a minimum clearance of 1000mm (39”) mustbe available at the front of the cooker to enable the cookerto be serviced.The initial length of flue pipe from the appliance fluesocket should be vertical for a least 600mm (24”).In any event the minimum flue length must not be lessthan 3m (10ft).Flue pipes and fittings must not be closer than 25mm (1”)to combustible materials and where passing through acombustible partition such as a ceiling or roof, must beenclosed in non-combustible sleeve providing aconnector space of at least 25mm (1”).Spaces around flue pipes passing through walls or floorsshould be sealed against the passage of smoke andflame.NOTE: AGA GAS FIRED COOKERS ARE DELIVEREDEX-WORKS UNASSEMBLED. ASSEMBLY ISUNDERTAKEN ON SITE BY THE AUTHORISED AGADISTRIBUTOR.Cooker Base or HearthIt is essential that the base or hearth on which the cookerstands should be level and be capable of supporting thetotal weight of the respective cooker.Models GC and GCB 406Kg, GE and GEB - 584Kg.The top of the hearth must be of non-combustible materialthickness of 12mm ( 1/2 ”).The wall behind the cooker must be of non-combustiblematerial for a minimum thickness of 25mm (1”).TilingWhen the cooker is to stand in a recess, or against a wallwhich is to be tiled, in no circumstances should the tilesoverlap the cooker top plate.Installation RequirementsThe installation of the cooker must be in accordance withthe relevant requirements of the Gas Safety Regulations,Building Regulations and the bylaws of the local WaterUndertaking.Installation must be in accordance with the Australian GasInstallation Code AG 601.In you own interest, and that of safety to comply with thelaw, all gas appliances should be installed by anauthorised person, in accordance with the relativeregulations. Failure to install appliances correctly couldlead to prosecution.On completion, test the gas installation for soundness.The location chosen for the appliance must permit theprovision of a satisfactory flue and an adequate air supply.The location must also provide adequate space forservicing and air circulation around the cooker.NOTE: Due to the overall weight of the appliance astability bracket is not required to prevent tilting.Installation Instructions forAGA Gas fired Cooker ModelsGC, GCB, (2 Oven)GE, GEB, (4 Oven)Consumer ProtectionAs responsible manufacturers we take care to make sure that ourproducts are designed and constructed to meet the required safetystandards when properly installed and used.IMPORTANT NOTICE: PLEASE READ THEACCOMPANYING WARRANTY. Any alteration that is not approvedby AGA, could invalidate the approval of the appliance, operation ofthe warranty and could also affect your statutory rights.ImportantThis appliance may contain some of the materials that are indicated.It is the Users/Installers responsibility to ensure that the necessarypersonal protective clothing is worn when handling, whereapplicable, the pertinent parts that contain any of the listed materialsthat could be interpreted as being injurious to health and safety, seebelow for information.Firebricks, Fuel beds, Artificial Fuels - when handling usedisposable gloves.Fire Cement - when handling use disposable gloves.Glues and Sealants - exercise caution - if these are still in liquidform use face mask and disposable gloves.Glass Yarn, Mineral Wool, Insulation Pads, Ceramic Fibre,Kerosene Oil - may be harmful if inhaled, may be irritating to skin,eyes, nose and throat. When handling avoid inhaling and contactwith skin or eyes. Use disposable gloves, face-masks and eyeprotection.
