SETTINGS6.1 Programme selection modeand user modeWhen the appliance is in programmeselection mode it is possible to set aprogramme and to enter the user mode.In user mode, the following settingscan be changed:• The level of the water softeneraccording to the water hardness.• The activation or deactivation of therinse aid dispenser.• The level of rinse aid according to therequired dosage.These settings will be saved until youchange them again.How to set the programmeselection modeThe appliance is in programme selectionmode when the programme indicatoris blinking and the display showsthe programme duration.When you activate the appliance, usually itis in programme selection mode.However, if this does not happen, you canset the programme selection mode in thefollowing way:Press and hold Reset until the applianceis in programme selection mode.6.2 The water softenerThe water softener removes minerals fromthe water supply, which would have adetrimental effect on the washing resultsand on the appliance.The higher the content of these minerals,the harder your water is. Water hardnessis measured in equivalent scales.The water softener should be adjustedaccording to the hardness of the water inyour area.
