• Do not keep the appliance door open withoutsupervision to prevent to fall on it.• Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance anddisconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.• Do not use water spray and steam to clean theappliance.• The ventilation openings in the base (if applicable) mustnot be obstructed by a carpet.• The appliance is to be connected to the water mainsusing the new supplied hose-sets. Old hose sets mustnot be reused.2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS2.1 Installation• Remove all the packaging.• Do not install or use a damagedappliance.• Do not install or use the appliancewhere the temperature is less than 0°C.• Obey the installation instructionsupplied with the appliance.• Make sure that the appliance isinstalled below and adjacent to safestructures.2.2 Electrical connectionWARNING!Risk of fire and electricalshock.• The appliance must be earthed.• Make sure that the electricalinformation on the rating plate agreeswith the power supply. If not, contactan electrician.• Always use a correctly installedshockproof socket.• Do not use multi-plug adapters andextension cables.• Make sure not to cause damage to themains plug and to the mains cable.Should the mains cable need to bereplaced, this must be carried out byour Authorised Service Centre.• Connect the mains plug to the mainssocket only at the end of theinstallation. Make sure that there isaccess to the mains plug after theinstallation.• Do not pull the mains cable todisconnect the appliance. Always pullthe mains plug.• This appliance complies with the E.E.C.Directives.• Only for UK and Ireland. The appliancehas a 13 amp mains plug. If it isnecessary to change the fuse in themains plug, use fuse: 13 amp ASTA(BS 1362).2.3 Water connection• Make sure not to cause damage to thewater hoses.• Before you connect the appliance tonew pipes or pipes not used for a longtime, let the water flow until it is clean.• The first time you use the appliance,make sure that there is no leakage.• The water inlet hose has a safety valveand a sheath with an inner mainscable.www.electrolux.com4
