Press the Fridge Temperature - but-ton (several times if necessary) untilthe word “SC” appears in the dis-play.A temperature of +2°C is automati-cally selected.To deactivate the function, do thesesteps:1. Press the Fridge Temperature + but-ton .The COOLMATIC function stopsautomatically after about 6 hours.If the COOLMATIC function is switchedon the temperature setting may not bechanged.2.10 Holiday functionThis function allows you to keep the re-frigerator shut and empty during a longholiday period (e.g. the summer holi-days) without the formation of a badsmell.The fridge compartment must beempty when the holiday functionis on.To activate the function:1. press continuously the temperatureregulator (+ button) until the letter"H" (Holiday) appears on the tem-perature indicator. The Holiday func-tion sets the temperature approx+15°C. The refrigerator is in the en-ergy-saving mode.To deactivate the function:1. set the required temperature bypressing the fridge temperature reg-ulator.2.11 FROSTMATIC functionThe FROSTMATIC function acceleratesthe freezing of fresh food and, at thesame time, protects foodstuffs alreadystored from undesirable warming.To activate the function, do these steps:1. Press the FROSTMATIC button.2. The FROSTMATIC indicator switcheson.The FROSTMATIC function is ended au-tomatically after a period of 52 hours.You can deactivate the function at anytime:1. DAILY USE3.1 Before first useBefore using the appliance for the firsttime, wash the interior and all internalaccessories with lukewarm water andsome neutral soap so as to remove thetypical smell of a brand-new product,then dry thoroughly.Do not use detergents or abra-sive powders, as these will dam-age the finish.3.2 Freezing fresh foodThe freezer compartment is suitable forfreezing fresh food and storing frozenand deep-frozen food for a long time.To freeze fresh food activate the FROST-MATIC function at least 24 hours beforeplacing the food to be frozen in thefreezer compartment.Place the fresh food to be frozen in theupper compartment.The maximum amount of food that canbe frozen in 24 hours is specified on therating plate, a label located on the in-side of the appliance.The freezing process lasts 24 hours: dur-ing this period do not add other food tobe frozen.3.3 Storage of frozen foodWhen first starting-up or after a periodout of use, before putting the productsin the compartment let the appliance runat least 2 hours on the higher settings.If large quantities of food are to be stor-ed, remove all drawers and baskets fromappliance and place food on coolingshelves to obtain the best performance.ENGLISH 7
