2.3 Switching off theappliance1. Keep ON/OFF switch pressed formore than 5 seconds.2. A countdown on the temperature in-dicators, from -3 -2 -1 will be shown.When “1” appears the appliance isturned off. The temperature indica-tors switch off. The Pilot lights switchoff.2.4 High temperature alarmIn the event of an abnormal temperaturerise inside the freezer (e.g. power cut)alarm indicator light will start to flashand a buzzer will sound.Push the alarm reset button to stop thebuzzer sound, while the alarm indicatorlight will continue to flash.The buzzer will stop automatically whenthe temperature has returned to normalwhile the alarm indicator light will contin-ue to flash.Press the alarm reset button. The alarmindicator light goes out and at the sametime the freezer temperature indicatorshow for about 5 seconds the warmesttemperature reached in the freezer com-partment.2.5 Temperature settingbuttonsThe temperature is adjusted using thetemperature setting buttons. These but-tons are connected to the temperatureindicator.• Each time one of the two buttons ispressed again the temperature is ad-justed by 1°C. The set temperaturewill be reached within 24 hours.2.6 Temperature indicatorsThe temperature indicators show severalinformation:• During normal operation, the temper-ature currently set for fridge and freez-er are displayed.• When the temperature is being adjus-ted a flashing display indicates thefridge/freezer temperature currentlyset.2.7 Temperature regulationTo operate the appliance, proceed asfollows:1. Set the required temperature bypressing the corresponding temper-ature regulator. The temperature in-dicator will immediately show thechanged setting and the tempera-ture indicator flashes.2. Each time the temperature regulatoris pressed the temperature is adjus-ted by 1 °C. The set temperature willbe reached within 24 hours.3. The temperature indicator willchange from flashing to continuousillumination.For a correct storage of the food the fol-lowing temperatures should be set:• +5 °C in the fridge• -18 °C in the freezer.When the setting is changed, thecompressor does not start imme-diately if automatic defrosting iscurrently taking place. As thestorage temperature within thefridge is reached quickly you canstore food immediately afterswitching on.2.8 DYNAMICAIR functionTo switch on the function:1. Press the DYNAMICAIR button.2. The DYNAMICAIR indicator isshown.To switch off the function:1. Press the DYNAMICAIR button.2. The DYNAMICAIR indicator goesoff.If the function is activated auto-matically the DYNAMICAIR indi-cator is not shown (refer to "Dailyuse").The activation of the DYNAMI-CAIR function increases the ener-gy consumption.2.9 COOLMATIC functionThe COOLMATIC function is suitable forquick cooling of large quantities ofgoods in the refrigerator.To activate the function, do these steps:6 www.aeg.com
