ThisPractice assumes that proper lifting devices are onhand for maneuvering and holding the cabinet inposition until securely mounted.After unpacking the T200/T400 High CapacityCabinet inspect it for damage. If damage is noted filea claim with the carrier, then contact ADTRANCustomer Service (refer to Section 5).WARNINGNever install telephone wiring during alightning storm.If equipment is to be stored for any period of time,ADTRAN recommends that the equipment be kept inthe original shipping container until arriving at theinstallation site.CAUTIONAlthough sealed from the elements the cabinetis not designed to be waterproof and must notbe located where any type of immersion couldoccur.Cabinet location should be selected with the followingin mind:• Personnel and equipment safety• Personnel access• For cable stubbed versions, the proposed cableroutes should not exceed the 50-foot cable stublengths.• Clearances between the cabinet and adjacentstructures must be adequate for access duringmaintenance (refer to pad and pole mountsubsections).Pad Mount InstallationPad configuration is designated by the installingactivity. The cabinet shipping box has a printedtemplate for support bracket bolt hole location. Craftplanning will ensure the pad four bolt pattern matchesNOTEBecause heat dissipates across the cabinetsurfaces, the cabinet should not be installedwithin another enclosure or hut unless suchenclosure has positive ventilation.Status Indicator LEDsEach fan board has two status indicator LEDs:• DOOR LED (Red), verifies that FPU power ispresent on the associated fan board.• FAN LED (Green), verifies the open or closedposition of the fan’s associated thermostat.The LEDs give positive indication that power ispresent to operate the fans and thermostats.DOOR (Power) LEDPower is present at the corresponding fan board if thered Door LED turns On when the door is opened asexplained here:• When the front door is opened, the secondaryfan board red Door LED turns On until the frontdoor switch is manually disabled or the frontdoor is closed.• When the rear door is opened, the primary fanboard red Door LED turns On until the rear doorswitch is manually disabled or the rear door isclosed.NOTEThe door switch also controls intrusiondetection on the FPU at the CO.FAN (Thermostat) LEDThe green LEDs indicate that power is present at thethermostat by being On when the fans are Off.When the thermostat is Open, the green FAN LEDshould be On and the fan should be Off. When thethermostat is Closed, the FAN LED should be Off andthe fan should be On.
