The MAX usermust be assigned a group that is common to the MAX moduleto permitthe access control functions to operate. If the MAX user does not haveaccess to the group assigned to the module, the access control functionsare denied. The Modify Groups option is only available when groupshave been enabled by the engineer. The system defaults to groupsdisabled.On selecting the Modify Groups option, the groups currently allocatedto the user are displayed. All users default to group 1. Pressing thegroup number toggles the group assigned to the user. Pressing 2 and 3assigns groups 2 and 3 to the user. Pressing 1 (while group 1 is alreadyassigned) removes group 1 from the MAX user; press the ent key toaccept the programming and return to the previous menu level.• Galaxy 500, 504 and 512The Galaxy 500 has 16 groups, the 504 and 512 have 32 groups.These are displayed on the keypad in blocks of eight groups,labelled A, B, C and D. Use keys A> or to move between thegroup blocks. Press keys 1 – 8 to assign the groups in each block tothe user.Summer (User Level 6)On the first day of each year, the British Summer Time (BST) Start dateis set to the last Sunday in March and the End date is set to the lastSunday in October.The operation of the Summer option is as follows: At 01 : 00 hours onthe Start date, the system clock advances to 02 : 00 hours. At 01 : 00hours on the End date, the system clock goes back to 00 : 00 hours(midnight).Note:The time always changes with reference to GMT. Forexample, Italy which is + 1 hour would be:Last Sunday in March - 02.00 to 03.00Last Sunday in October - 03.00 to 02.00The Start and End dates can be reprogrammed by authorised usercodes. Press the A> key to modify the Start date or the key to selectthe End date. The new date must be a valid four digit number in the daymonth format (dd/mm).Galaxy 504The Summer option can only be modified by the engineer.
