Electrical connections38 FSM4000 D184B140U025.3 Connecting the transmitter5.3.1 Supply power connectionThe line voltage and power consumption are indicated on the name plate for the transmitter. The wire cross-section for the supply power must meet the requirements for the main fuse (VDE0100). The power consumption is 45 VA (flowmeter sensor, including transmitter). The supply power is connected to terminal L (phase), N (neutral) or 1+, 2- and , as stated onthe name plate. The supply power connecting cable must be rated for the current consumptionof the flowmeter system. The leads must comply with IEC 227 and/or IEC 245. Connect aswitch or a line switch in the power supply line to the transmitter. This switch should be locatednear the converter and marked as being associated with the device. The transmitter and theflowmeter sensor have to be connected to functional ground in accordance with internationalstandards.ImportantPlease observe the limit values of the supply power (see "Technical Data"). Please note thatthere is a voltage drop of the 24 V AC/DC supply power line if the cables are extremely long orif the conductor cross section is extremely small. The pin configuration must be as specified in the connection diagrams in Section 5.4 "Terminalconnection diagrams".
