D8.5.2 Field Device Status Second ByteSecond Byte DescriptionBit #7 Field Device Malfunction A hardware error or failure has been detected by the device. Further information may be available through the Read Additional TransmitterStatus command.Bit #6 Configuration Changed A write command has been executed. A set command has been executed.Bit #5 Cold StartBit #4 More Status Available More Status information is available than can be returned in the Field DeviceStatus. Command #48 Read Additional Status Information provides thisadditional status information. Set if any of the device-specific status bits in command #48 are set.Bit #3 Primary Variable Analog Output Fixed The analog and digital analog outputs for the Primary Variable are held at therequested value. They do not respond to the applied process. Primary analog output set to a fixed value via HART (or via the HMI) putting thecurrent output into test mode.Bit #2 Primary Variable Analog Output Saturated The analog and digital outputs for the 'Primary Variable' are beyond their limitsand no longer represent the true applied process. Calculated Current Output 1 value is beyond the physical limits of the output.Bit #1 Non Primary Variable Out of Limits The temperature or cold junction cell voltage are beyond the operating limits ofthe probe. The Read Additional Transmitter Status command, #48, is required toidentify the variable. Set if SV, TV or QV sensor limit failure diagnostic bits are set.Bit #0 Primary Variable Out of Limits The measured oxygen value is beyond the operating limits of the probe. PV sensor out-of-limits diagnostic set.Table 8.5 Field Device Status Second Byte
