Recess the 716TX unit to allow at least 3” of horizontal clearance forcopper cable bend radius. Recess the 716FX2 or 7018FX2 unit to allow at least 5” of horizontal clearance for fibercable bend radius. There should be at least 4” of clearance on both the top and bottom of the unit to allow properventilation.2.3.2.1 Vertical Mounting 716TX, 716FX2, 7018TX and 7018FX2Install the switch to standard 35mm DIN-Rail as shown in the diagram above.Note: When mounting the switch in the vertical position, you must orientate the power connector to thetop as shown above for proper unit ventilation.1. First, hook the top of the DIN-Rail clip on the back of the switch to the rail at an upward angle.2. Then, gently rotate the front of the switch downward, towards the panel.3. Push the bottom of the switch towards the rail until it locks into place.4. Apply upward force to verify the switch is securely installed.5. Connect any communications cables to the switch.6. Install the power and ground wires.7. Apply power to the power supply.
