36SECTION E - ASSISTANCE AND MAINTENANCE9. ASSISTANCE AND MAINTENANCE9.1 FIRST START-UP OF THE APPLIANCEThe first ignition must be carried out exclusively byan authorized Technical Assistance Center or byprofessionally qualified personnel. Before starting the generator, have it checked byprofessionally qualified personnel:- that the plate data correspond to those of theelectricity and gas supply networks; Establishedcorrectness of the installation and of the requiredinstallation data, the authorized TechnicalAssistance Center can proceed with the firststart up of the appliance and with the verificationof its correct functioning. In particular, he will haveto check:- that the data of the static and dynamic pressure ofthe gas network fall within the required range;- that the calibration values of the gas valvecorrespond to what is indicated in Table 16;- that the combustion air supply e the fumes areevacuated correctly as established by the currentregulations;- the correct functioning of the evacuation ductof the fumes. If the calibration values of the gasvalve do not they correspond to those indicatedin Table 16, it is advisable to adjust the combustionparameters as reported in the relative paragraph8.2. The generator is set up for operation amethane (G20): in the case of plants that providefor a type of gas supply different from that ofpreparation, it is necessary to perform the gaschange procedure (paragraph 8.3) and the relativeregulation of the parameters (paragraph 8.2).9.2 HOW TO MAKE THE ADJUSTMENT OF THEGAS VALVE (or the combustion parameters)Gas valve operating principleThe gas valve (fig.31) installed in the MEC MIXseries generators is a 1: 1 gas/air control type whoseoperating principle is to maintain the PINT output gaspressure constantly equal to the air pressure signalPa increased of the set value on the offset screw. In formula:PINT = Pa + Oswhere Os is the value adjusted on the offset screw. The relation can be represented in a Pa / PINT graph(fig.30).In the case where Os (offset) is set to zero and inthe hypothesis that the relation flow volumetric / fallof air pressure and gas follow in first approximationof the same law, the volumetric gas/air ratio is keptconstant for any value of Pa. In other words, the ratioQg / Qa, where Qg and Qa are respectively the flowsin volume of gas and air, is constant over the entirerange of the air signal Pa.Technical features of the gas valveGas of use: 2nd / 3rd familyT ° environment: 0-60 ° CInlet pressure max: 60 mbarGas inlet / outlet: fil. male G3 / 4 B ISO 228Pressure sockets: diameter 9 mmAir signal connection: diameter 7 mmDegree of protection: IP 40 with connectorNAC 504 and gasketREPORTING OF THE AIR SIGNAL GAS PRESSUREair signal Paintermediate pressure P INT
