Let it sit overnight before discardingthe mixture. Then fill the jug with fresh water, boil anddiscard the used water. Repeat the procedure if necessary.Descaling procedureIt is normal for lime deposits to form in the appliance.Limestone particles in the water deposit as residue in thekettle and cause malfunction or damage. The descalingfrequency depends on the water hardness and thefrequency of use. Descale your kettle regularly (3 to 4 timesa year for normal frequency of use).To descale your appliance, please follow these instructions:➢ Mix 250 cl of water with 250 cl of white vinegar (5% aceticacid)➢ Pour this solution into the jug.➢ Let the solution sit in the jug overnight.➢ Pour out the solution. Remove any deposits on the spoutby rubbing it with a damp cloth.➢ Fill the jug with clear water, boil it at 100°C, then discardthe water.➢ Wipe the outer surface of the jug with a soft cloth beforeplacing it back on its base.Note: you can also use a specific descaling solution for teakettles. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, rinse thejug thoroughly and boil water several times after descalingbefore using the kettle again. |
