Remove any labels and adhesives from theappliance.3. Wipe the surface of the appliance with a slightlydamp cloth. Dry it completely.4. Wash the filter tray and the tea filter in hot soapywater and dry them completely.5. Rinse the inside of the jug with cold water, then fillit with water up to the maximum mark (1.7 L)indicated on the glass surface.6. Close the cover lid on the jug.7. Unwind the power cord and place the appliance ona flat and stable surface.8. Place the jug on the power base.9. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet. Anaudible signal will be heard and the screen displays“OFF”, the kettle is in standby mode.10. Press the ON/OFF button, the screen displays“ON” and the screen light indicators switch on. Theheating cycle starts automatically after the jug’s LEDlights up blue.11. At the end of heating cycle, an audible signal willbe heard and the appliance will switch off. The lightindicators will switch off.12. Pour out the used water.13. Repeat a second time this heating cycle at 100°C.APPLIANCE USEHeating the water1. To open the cover lid, press on its top. Take out thetea filter.2. Fill the jug with drinking water up to the maximummark (1.7 L) indicated on the glass surface.3. Place the main cover lid without filter on the jug.4. Place the power base on a flat and stable surface.5. Place the jug with its cover on the power base.6. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.7. Press the ON/OFF button, the screen displays “ON”and the screen light indicators switch on. Theheating cycle starts automatically after the jug’s LEDlights up blue.Note: the heating temperature is set by default to100°C when the kettle is switched on. You canchange the heating temperature any time bypressing on the Programme selection buttonthen on the button for increasing the temperatureor for lowering the temperature .The heating temperature can be set from 40° to100°C in increments of 5°C.You can stop the heating cycle at any time bypressing the ON/OFF button.8. At the end of heating cycle, an audible signal willbe heard and the appliance will switch off. The lightindicators will switch off.9. Carefully pour the hot water into a cup whileholding the lid on the jug.10. Make sure you unplug the power cord from thewall outlet.Control panel lock (Child safety lock)The tea kettle is fitted with an automatic child safetylock.The control buttons are automatically locked if noaction is taken for 5 seconds.To unlock the control panel, press the Programmeselection button .Standby modeThe appliance automatically switches to standbymode after the heating cycle if no action is takenwithin one minute. To exit standby mode, press theON/OFF button.“Keep Warm” functionTo set up the "Keep warm" function, proceed asfollows:Important➢ The quantity of water in the carafe must bebetween the minimum level “MIN” (0.5 L) andthe maximum level “MAX” (1.7 L for water and1.5 L for brewing tea) indicated on the glasssurface. Please add water as soon as the waterreaches the “MIN” line on the jug.➢ Never exceed the maximum level mark whenyou fill the kettle, otherwise boiling water mayspill out from the spout.➢ Never use the appliance when it is empty.➢ Only use still, cold water.➢ Ensure that the cover lid is securely closedbefore plugging the power cord into the walloutlet.➢ There is a risk of hot water splashing if thecover lid is left open. |
