2Installation• This appliance is heavy. Care should be takenwhen moving it.• It is dangerous to alter the specifications orattempt to modify this product in any way.• Any electrical work required to install thisappliance should be carried out by a qualifiedelectrician or competent person.• Care must be taken to ensure that the appliancedoes not stand on the electrical supply cable.• If the machine is situated on a carpeted floor,please adjust the feet in order to allow air tocirculate freely.• If the tumble dryer is placed on top of a washingmachine, it is compulsory to use the stacking kit(optional accessory).• This tumble dryer is designed to be ventedthrough to the open air. It should have its ownventilation system which should not be joinedwith any other ventilation system connected toany other appliance.Child Safety• This appliance is designed to be operated byadults. Children should not be allowed to tamperwith the controls or play with the product.• Pets and children have been known to climb intotumble dryers. Please check your drum before use.• Keep all packaging well away for children.Use• Do not overload the appliance (see programmechart).• Clothes which are dripping wet should not beplaced in the dryer.• As some bulky items such as duvets andeiderdowns should be dried in large commercialmachines because of their bulk, check with themanufacturer of the item if it is suitable for dryingin a domestic machine, even if the dry weight ofthe item is within the limit advised.• Please make sure that no gas lighters or matcheshave accidentally been left in pockets of garmentsto be loaded into appliance.• Danger of explosion: Never tumble dry items thathave been in contact with inflammable solvents(petrol, methylated spirits, dry cleaning fluid andthe like). As these substance are volatile, theycould cause an explosion. Tumble dry only itemswashed with water.• Fabric softeners, or similar products, should be usedas specified by the fabric softener instructions.• Risk of fire: items that have been spotted or soakedwith vegetable or cooking oil constitute a firehazard and should not be placed in the tumbledryer.• If you have washed your laundry with stainremover you must execute an extra rinse cyclebefore loading your tumble dryer• In order to avoid danger of fires caused byexcessive drying, do not use appliance to dry thefollowing items:Cushions, quilts and the like (these itemsaccumulate heat).Items containing rubber foam or materials similarto rubber foam.• Leave the door slightly ajar when the appliance isnot being used. This will allow the seal to bepreserved.• Clean fluff filters after using tumble dryer. Toprevent fire risks, do not use the appliance if thefluff filters are damaged.• Under no circumstances should you attempt torepair the machine yourself. Repairs carried out byinexperienced persons may cause injury or seriousmalfunctioning. Contact your local Service Forcerepair agent.
