Mains power failure42 HDK350_EN_01_2005-05-10Shutdown and restart dryerIn the following cases, the dryer must be fully shut down and depressurised: In the event of an emergency or malfunction For maintenance work For dismantlingRisk of injury from escaping compressed air!Never remove any parts of the dryer, or manipulate the same in any way,as long as the unit is pressurised! Suddenly escaping compressed airmight cause serious injuries.Prior to any work, release all pressure from the unit.Mains power failureIn the event of a power failure, follow the instructions below:In the event of a power failure, or when the dryer is switched off with the ON/OFFswitch all main valves are closed all expansion valves are closedAs a result the pressure at the inlet side of the dryer is increased, while the compressoris on (until the compressor is automatically switched off by the controlsystem), the pressure in the vessel (without start-up device) is reduced, as thecompressed air outlet valve is open, while compressed air is taken in fromthe pipeline system, no compressed air is fed to the downstream compressed air system.Note:If the unit is equipped with a compressor synchronisation system, firstswitch off the compressor and then wait until the dryer has reachedthe standby phase before switching it off with the ON/OFF switch. This ensures that the regeneration cycle is completed, and that thepressure in both vessels is at the same level.Note:As soon as the dryer is switched on again, the programme continuesthe cycle from the point at which it has been stopped.
