6ENThema:InstallationInstallation notesHere you can find relevant installationnotes and common information.We recommend you to let thetechnician install the unit in yourvehicle.!Before the installationWARNING!Please read the following manual care-fully before you install the unit.Damages caused due to an inapprop-riate installation will not be covered bywarranty.If you do not want to risk your warrantyentitlement, please let the technicianinstall the unit in your vehicle.» To avoid a short circuit pleasedisconnect the vehicle battery beforethe installation. To do it properly pleaseread the manual of your vehicle.» Make sure that your vehicle isequipped with a car radio slot ofrequired size (1DIN)» As may be the case you will need asuitable faceplate, adapter or otheraccessories. These could be providedfrom your local specialist supplier.!» The connection cables may not becutted or short-circuited. Otherwise thewarranty becomes invalid.» Before the installation please makesure that your vehicle has the 12 Volton-board power supply.» The minus (-) should be connectedwith the ground (GND) (negative).» Please tag the polarity of the avai-lable speakers before you disconnectthe vehicle battery.» A proper grounding of the unit'shousing requires a clean groundconnection. Thus the grounding areashould be rust-, stain- and dust-free.» Please ground the cable separatelyfrom other heavy current devices suchas an amplifier etc.» Please ensure that the colored cablesare connected according to the wiringdiagram. The wrong wiring may lead tomalfunctions or even damages of theelectric elements of the vehicle.» Please note that the connectioncables of this unit and of the otherdevices may have the same purposebut the different color. For this reasonwhile connecting this unit with theother devices please ensure that bothof the cables in each case have thesame purpose. To connect everythingcorrectly please refer to the manuals ofthe both devices.Installation
