27 Using the Fiery XJ utilities for the first timeUsing the Fiery XJ utilities for the first timeIn order to use the Fiery XJ utilities, certain files must be moved to specific locationsand configured to connect to the Fiery XJ.Windows 3.1xWhere to move and how to configure files depends on your network connection. Youmust do the following:• Move the Fiery XJ utility files to the appropriate locations (if you have older filesthat will be rewritten, rename or back them up).• Verify that you have the correct information in your NET.CFG file. This file wasinstalled as part of your installation of IPX/SPX.T O MOVE FILES TO THE APPROPRIATE LOCATIONS :1. Open the folder containing the Fiery XJ utilities.2. Open the IPXSPX folder and move files to the following locations:*This is the default NET_WSCK.INI file. You or your system administrator mustcustomize it for your site as described in “Configuring the NET_WSCK.INI file” onpage 28.T O VERIFY THE INFORMATION IN THE NET.CFG FILE FORW INDOWS 3.1 X AND IPX:• In the Link Driver section of the file, make sure that the Ethernet Frame Type matcheswhat is set on your Fiery XJ.You can print the Configuration page from the Fiery XJ Control Panel to see thecurrent setting.Windows 95 and Windows NTYou may need to configure the NET_WSCK.INI file before the Fiery XJ utilities willconnect to the Fiery XJ (see “Configuring the NET_WSCK.INI file” on page 28).From this folder: Drag these files: To this location (path):IPXSPX\SYSTEM All files WINDOWS\SYSTEM folderIPXSPX\WINDOWS NET_WSCK.INI* WINDOWS folder
