An optional method requiresthe user to press the mute button when in a private conversation. This will allow an exten-sion user to call the party and make announcements, but the private conversation cannotbe heard by the calling party because the mute button remains active.The user can select between these modes as their needs change.• Voice Announce – Hands Free Mode: Hands free, gives the extension userthe ability to receive incoming intercom calls, without having to press anybuttons. The user receives a tone burst; the user and the intercom caller areinstantly connected, and can converse freely.• Tone Ring mode – All calls to this extension will ring. The user must presseither the speaker button or the lift the handset.• Voice Announce Private – Once the mute button is activated the next callwill be considered private so the calling party cannot hear the private conver-sation.The mute button must be reactivated after each call.Conditions1. Extensions programmed for Hands-free (Voice Call Allowed) are automatically answeredso calls will not automatically forwarded.2. Extensions in Ring or Page Mode with Voice Call Allowed, can still receive Voice Calls ifthe calling Extension presses the “*” key while the extension is ringing.3. Extensions in Ring or Page Mode with Voice Announce Denied Cannot receive VoiceAnnounce calls.4.
