ALWAYS make sure thatvehicles, other equipment,livestock and persons areclear of the machine beforeoperation.2. Place the WET/DRY switchin the DRY position toby-pass the low pressureswitch. See Figure 27-1.3. If an optional engine shut-down circuit is utilized,place the Engine RUN/START switch in the STARTposition. See Figure 27-1.Start The Pump andor Engine Generator4. Partially close the mainlinevalve to the machine to re-duce the possibility of waterhammer.5. Start the pump and/or en-gine generator.6. If the pump is wired to au-tomatically start when thecontrol panel START/STOPswitch is pressed, continuewith step 7.7. Slowly open the mainlinevalve or increase the en-gine speed to achieve thedesired operating pressure.Start The Machine8. Turn the control panel main disconnect switch tothe ON position. See Figure 27-1.9. If the power is supplied by an engine drivengenerator, adjust the RPM of the generator untilthe voltmeter reads 460 – 505 volts. DO NOTEXCEED 505 VOLTS. See Figure 27-1.10. Place the WET/DRY switch in the WET position.See Figure 27-1.11. Place the FORWARD/REVERSE switch in eitherthe FORWARD or REVERSE position. See Fig-ure 27-1.12. Set the percent timer to the desired speed set-ting. See Figure 27-1.13. Press and hold the START/STOP switch in theSTART position for 3 seconds and release. Themachine should start. See Figure 27-1.14. Place the Engine RUN/START switch in the RUNposition. See Figure 27-1.15. If the machine is equipped with the optional stop-in-slot mechanism, place the SIS ON/OFF switchin the desired position. See Figure 27-1.16. If the machine is equipped with auto reverse/autostop, place the AUTO REVERSE/AUTO STOPswitch in the desired position. See Figure 27-1.17. If the machine is equipped with the optional Aux-iliary ON/OFF switch to control an operation ordevice, place the Auxiliary ON/OFF switch in thedesired position.
