Setting the number of telephone ringsAuto-answer is set to answer the telephone after 3 rings. You canchange this to any number between 2 and 9. Follow these steps tochange the number of rings:1. Press the key.2. Press the key to select AUTOANS.3. Press the key to select RING.4. Press the or the key to choose the number you want ortype the number.5. Press the key.Personalizing the auto-answer messageThe Uniphone 1140 has an auto-answer message that says, YOUHAVE REACHED AN ANSWERING MACHINE, PLEASELEAVE A MESSAGE GA. You can change this message to sayanything you want up to 240 characters. To change the auto-answermessage, do the following:1. Press the key.2. Press the key to select AUTOANS.3. Press the key to select AAMSG (outgoing message).4. Press the key to select NEW (new message).5. Type your new message. Use the key to correct anytyping mistakes.6. Press the key to save your new auto-answer message.This message will stay the same until you change it again or resetthe Uniphone 1140.
