29Using the dynadock 4K Docking Station andAdjusting SettingsIf you use multiple dynadock 4K docking stations with asingle computer (for example, one at work and one at home),the video settings for each dynadock 4K docking station aresaved when you disconnect the computer. This enables youto have each dynadock 4K docking station adjusted todifferent video settings for each location. The settings areretained each time you use the dynadock 4K docking stationwith your computer.Adjusting video settingsThis section describes detailed information on adjusting thevideo settings for a display connected to the dynadock 4Kdocking station.Selecting Extended mode or Mirror modeYou can choose to set the dynadock 4K docking station’svideo output signal to Extended mode or Mirror mode.Extended mode extends your desktop space acrossmultiple displays, so that you can display differentinformation on each display connected to your computer.This provides a number of advantages to increaseproductivity, including the ability to:❖ View large spreadsheets across two screens❖ Multi-task more effectively without overlapping windows❖ Compare two documents simultaneously across twoscreens❖ View media on one screen and send messages on theotherMirror mode duplicates the image on your computerscreen on an external display connected to the dynadock 4Kdocking station. This mode is useful if, for example, youwant to view information on a larger, external desktopdisplay instead of a smaller, built-in computer screen. InMirror mode, the dynadock 4K docking station automaticallyadjusts the external display’s resolution, color quality, andrefresh rate settings based on your computer’s settings.
