No. EJL- 106ADensity (Consistency) Meter LQ500IntroductionThe LQ500 density (consistency) meter usesmicrowave phase shift technology to determineconcentrations of solids in the material to be measuredflowing through pipes. It can perform a stable andrealtime density (consistency) measurement becausethis technology is not affected by flow velocity alongwith fluid color, and also is not easily affected bycontaminants and low process pressure rate. As theLQ500 has no moving parts, it is reliable and virtuallymaintenance free.Since the output of the LQ500 is theoretically linear, itcan be applied to a wide range of density (consistency)measurement. The LQ500 requires a full pipe to measure thedensity (consistency). Contact Toshiba beforeinstallation in the following cases:(a) When it is installed at the discharge of a pump.(b) When installation is horizontal, and unfilledcondition occurs inside the pipe.(c) A process where the pipe becomes unfilledwhen the operation is stopped.Cable for power supply(Detector/converter)Ground resistance100 ohm or lessDensity (consistency)measurement output 4-20mACable for communication(Detector/converter)AC power supplyDI / DOExternal Sync controlcontact inputFigure 1.
