Mute DVD-RAMThis feature automatically creates divisions forchapters when no audio (no audible sound) portionis found.For example, when you have recorded aprogramme of music clips, you can use this featureto jump to the beginning of a clip during playback. Itdoes not create completely independent chaptersor automatically divide into chapters when no audioportion is found.Off : This feature is disabled.On : Division for chapters when no audio portion isfound.Notes• Divisions for chapters may not be created, dependingon the contents of the programme or the condition ofno audio portion, or it may be created at differentpositions. A division for a chapter may be createdwithin a music clip.• Depending on the specification made for therecording sound level, a division for a chapter maynot be created or it may be created at differentpositions.• Setting “On” may create many chapters, and theirnumber may reach the maximum. No more chapterscannot be created in any way. In this case, decreasethe chapters, for example by combining chapters( page 102).• This feature is not available on DVD-R/RW discs. Tocreate chapters automatically during recording onDVD-R/RW discs, set “DVD-Video:CHP Create.” (page 130).Genre SettingYou can set a genre before setting programmedrecording.To see the registered list, refer to Genre Setting( page 131).Set the genre according to recording contents.
