74Chapter 10: Customizing disc playbackTo temporarily cancel the parentalrestriction:1) Load the restricted content DVD that youwant to play.2) Use the Channel Number buttons (0–9)to input the system password after the“Enter Password” message, then press.This suspension of the parental restrictionsetting applies until disc is ejected.PasswordSelect this option to change the accesspassword for the parental control setting.If you forget the system password:1) Press or to select Password,then press .2) Use the Channel Number buttons(0–9) to input the current password,then press .If the password has not been set yetkey in “0000”. This is the factorydefault password.3) Use the Channel Number buttons(0–9) to input the new password, thenpress .You will be prompted to confirm thenew password.4) Use the Channel Number buttons(0–9) to input the new passwordagain, then press .5) Press one last time to confirm thechanged password. Note this newpassword for future reference.1) Make sure there is no disc in the discslot.2) Press and hold down “4” on theremote control, then press VOLUME-on the TV control panel.The “Initializing” message appearson-screen to indicate that thepassword has been reset to its defaultfactory setting “0000”. All DVD Setup-related settings will also be reset totheir default factory values.
