425) Always place the TV on the floor or a sturdy, level,stable surface that can support the weight of the TV.In order to maintain stability and prevent the TVfalling over, secure the TV with a sturdy strap fromthe hooks on the rear of the TV pedestal to a wallstud, pillar, or other immovable structure. Make surethe strap is tight, secure, and parallel to the floor.(The sturdy tie and hooks are applicable to 15CV100U,15CV101U, 26CV100U and 32CV100U; the band isapplicable to 15CV100U,15CV101U and 26CV100U.)26) The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping orsplashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such asvases, shall be placed on the apparatus.27) Never block or cover the slots or openings in the TVcabinet back, bottom, and sides. Never place the TV:• on a bed, sofa, rug, or similarsurface;• too close to drapes, curtains, orwalls; or• in a confined space such as abookcase, built-in cabinet, orany other place with poorventilation.The slots and openings are provided to protect the TVfrom overheating and to help maintain reliableoperation of the TV. When cleaning yourTV, please first remove any dirtor dust from the surface.Gently wipe the cabinet andthe display panel surface (theTV screen) with a dry, soft cloth only (cotton, flannel,etc.). The enclosed cleaning cloth is for cabinetcleaning. Harsh rubbing or use of a dirty or stiff clothwill scratch the TV surface. Avoid contact withalcohol, thinner, benzene, acidic or alkaline solventcleaners, abrasive cleaners, or chemical cloths,which may damage the TV surface. Never sprayvolatile compounds such as insecticide on the TVsurface. Such products may damage or discolor theTV.36)Never spill liquids or push objects of any kind into theTV cabinet slots.37) While it is thundering, do not touch the connectingcables or apparatus.38) For added protection of your TV from lightning andpower surges, always unplug the power cord anddisconnect the antenna from the TV if you leave theTV unattended or unused for long periods of time.39) ALWAYS unplug the TV to completely disconnectfrom mains power. When the TV is turned off usingthe on/off switch, it is not completely disconnectedfrom power and a minute amount of current is stillconsumed.40) During normal use, the TV may make occasionalsnapping or popping sounds. This is normal,especially when the TV is being turned on or off.
