CleaningCleaning the MachineRegular cleaning and washing will increase the lifespan of the machine. Clean the machine after eachuse, before the dirt hardens.Ensure that the motor is unplugged.Use care when using a high-pressure sprayerbecause it can damage warning decals, instructionsigns, and the motor.Important: Use pressure sprayers to clean onlythe drum of the machine. Clean off the rest of themachine by hand to keep the motor from gettingwet.Important: Lubricate the trunnions after cleaning;refer to Lubricating the Bearings and Seals (page26).StorageStoring the MachineFor storage over 30 days, prepare the machine asfollows:1. Move the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position,and unplug the power cord.2. Remove dirt and grime from the external partsof the entire machine, especially the motor.Important: You can wash the machine withmild detergent and water.3. Grease the machine; refer to Lubricating theBearings and Seals (page 26) and Lubricatingthe Drive Chain (page 28).4. Check and tighten all bolts, nuts, and screws.Repair or replace any part that is damaged.5. Paint all scratched or bare metal surfaces withpaint from your Authorized Toro Dealer.6. Store the machine in a clean, dry garage orstorage area.7. Cover the machine to protect it and keep it clean.35
