Check where the control lever is relative to the notchin the console (Figure 48). It should be centered, allowing the lever to pivot outward to the neutrallock position.8. If adjustment is needed, loosen the nut and jam nutagainst the yoke (Figure 49).9. Apply slight rearward pressure on the motion controllever, and turn the head of the adjustment bolt inthe appropriate direction until the control lever iscentered in the neutral lock position.Note: Keeping rearward pressure on the lever willkeep the pin at the end of the slot and allow theadjustment bolt to move the lever to the appropriateposition.10. Tighten the nut and jam nut (Figure 49).11. Repeat on the opposite side of machine.Hydraulic SystemMaintenanceServicing the HydraulicSystemChecking the Hydraulic FluidService Interval: After the first 8 hoursEvery 25 hoursFluid Type: Mobil 1 15W-50 synthetic motor oil orequivalent synthetic oil.Hydraulic System Oil Capacity: 67 ounces (2.0 l)Important: Use oil specified or equivalent. Otherfluids could cause system damage.Note: There are two ways of checking the hydraulic oil.One is when the oil is warm and one is when the oil iscold. The baffle inside the tank has two levels dependingif the oil is warm or cold.1. Position the machine on a level surface and set theparking brake.2. Clean the area around filler neck of hydraulic tank(Figure 50).3. Remove the cap from the filler neck. Look inside tocheck if there is fluid in the reservoir (Figure 50).4. If there is no fluid, add fluid to the reservoir until itreaches the cold level of the baffle.5. Run the machine at low idle for 15 minutes to allowany air to purge out of the system and warm thefluid. Refer to Starting and Stopping the Engine inOperation , page 12.6. Recheck the fluid level while the fluid is warm. Thefluid should be between cold and hot.7. If required, add fluid to the hydraulic tank.Note: The fluid level should be to the top of the hotlevel of the baffle, when the fluid is hot (Figure 50).8. Install the cap on filler neck.39
