Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for allmoving parts to stop before leaving the operatingposition.3. Remove the dust cap from caster and tighten locknut (Figure 41).4. Tighten the locknut until the spring washers are flatand then back off a 1/4 turn to properly set thepre-load on the bearings (Figure 41).Important: Make sure spring washers areinstalled correctly as shown in Figure 41.5.
