Driving SafetyYou drive the machine to and from the work site with the useof a tethered remote. When driving the machine, observe thefollowing safety precautions:• Operate the drive pendant alongside the machine outsideof the danger zone (Figure 3).• Keep all bystanders away while moving the machine.• Do not carry passengers on the machine.• Watch for the turning-radius sweep of the drill frame, asthe center of the turning radius is the end of the track.• Moving the machine with the tethered remote canbe erratic; move slowly when using the remote formovement.• Use care when loading or unloading the machine onto atrailer.• Watch for traffic when crossing roadways.• Check for overhead clearances (i.e. branches, doorways,electrical wires) before driving under any objects and donot contact them.• When driving on a slope, the operator should be up-slopefrom the machine.The following illustration displays the safe distance that allindividuals must maintain while moving the machine.12 33 G021 118X11444Figure 3Driving Danger Zone1. 1.8 m (6 ft) safety distance 3.
