13FeaturesChapter 1 Overview5) DisplayPort, DisplayPort logo and VESA are trademarks or registeredtrademarks of Video Electronics Standards Association.HD frame capture functionThe frame of the 3G/HD-SDI input signal is captured andsaved 6) as a picture file in the “Memory Stick”. This isused to confirm the color tone and picture angle of thecurrent scene and recorded scene by using the multi display(Picture&Picture) function. For the operation, see “Capturing the Picture of the HDSignal (HD Frame Capture)” on page 92.6) As the frame of the input signal is captured, the data and marker set by themonitor is not reflected.Multi display functionTwo kinds of input signals are output on the monitor. Youcan select from side by side, wipe, butterfly and blendingmode. This is useful for adjusting the color or comparingtwo pictures. For the operation, see “Displaying Two Signals on OneScreen (Picture&Picture)” on page 90.Pixel zoom functionAs part of the picture is magnified up to 8 times withoutscaling processing, this is convenient for confirming aminute part of the signal. For the operation, see “Magnifying the Picture (PixelZoom)” on page 91.Safe area marker and aspect marker functionsThe monitor is equipped with two area markers and centermarker as the safe area marker and aspect marker forconfirming the picture angle. For the operation, see “Displaying the Area Marker orAspect Marker” on page 93.Scan selection/Native scan display functionYou can select from under scan (–3%), normal scan (0%)and over scan (mask of the 5% over scan portion in thenormal scan) for the picture display. The monitor is equipped with a native scan displayfunction which maps the pixel of the signal to the panel inone-to-one mode. You can select the mode from ×1, ×2 orAspect Correction to display a signal in native mode. AnSD signal of non-square pixels (the number of H pixels ofthe signal system is 720 or 1440) or a 640 × 480 SD signalof HDMI/DisplayPort video is displayed correctly byscaling processing of doubling for the V direction andcorrect aspect ratio for the H direction, and the picture isalso optimized and displayed by modifying the aperturecoefficient value, filter coefficient value, etc. in AspectCorrection mode. For the operation, see “Selecting the Native Scan/ScanMode” on page 89.Gamut error functionThe signal outside the specified range (gamut error) causedby the conversion of the format or during CG/CMproduction is displayed in a zebra pattern.Aspect selectable functionA squeezed and recorded signal is displayed with thecorrect angle. You can select from 4:3, 16:9, 1.896:1 and2.39:1 7) aspect modes.7) When the aspect ratio is set to 2.39:1, the resolution is reduced.Remote control function (Ethernet control)The controller controls up to 32 monitors by the Ethernet(10BASE-T/100BASE-TX) connection. Up to fourcontrollers are connected to one monitor in single mode. You can control individual monitors or monitor groupssimply by entering the monitor ID number or group IDnumber. You can also execute the same operation on allconnected monitors, or put all connected monitors into thesame setup and adjustment state.Time code display functionThe time code superimposed on the SDI signal isdisplayed.Closed caption display functionEIA/CEA-608 or EIA/CEA-708 standard closed captionsignals superimposed on the SDI signals are displayed byinstalling the optional input adaptor (BKM-244CC).Audio level meter display functionThe audio level of the embedded audio signalssuperimposed on the SDI signal is displayed by installingthe optional input adaptor (BKM-250TG).3D signal analyzing functionThe monitor supports the following display modes of the3D signal analyzing function if you install the optionalinput adaptor (BKM-250TG). For this function, two-dimensional (2D) view is used. The signals are notdisplayed in stereoscopic view. The available display modes differ depending on the serialnumber of the BKM-250TG.For the operation, see “Switching the Display of the 3DVideo Signal” on page 96.Difference display (with serial number 7300001 orhigher):The difference between the luminance signal of the left (L)3D video signal and that of the right (R) signal is displayed. This display is useful for checking parallax amount.Checkerboard display (with serial number 7100001 orhigher):
