BlUeTooThwireless technology operates within a range of about 10 m.Connecting two devices as necessary is common, but some devices can be connected to multipledevices at the same time. You do not need to use a cable for connection, nor is it necessary for the devices to face oneanother, such is the case with infrared technology. For example, you can use such a device in a bagor pocket.BlUeTooTh standard is an international standard supported by thousands of companies all overthe world, and employed by various companies worldwide.Maximum communication rangeMaximum communication range may shorten under the following conditions.ˋ There is an obstacle such as a person, metal, or wall between the system and BlUeTooThdevice.ˋ A wireless lAN device is in use near the system.ˋ A microwave oven is in use near the system.ˋ A device that generates electromagnetic radiation is in use near the system.Interference from other devicesBecause BlUeTooTh devices and wireless lAN (Ieee802.11b/g) use the same frequency, microwaveinterference may occur and resulting in communication speed deterioration, noise, or invalidconnection if the system is used near a wireless lAN device. In such a case, perform the following.ˋ Use the system at least 10 m away from the wireless lAN device.ˋ If the system is used within 10 m of a wireless lAN device, turn off the wireless lAN device.Interference to other devicesMicrowaves emitting from a BlUeTooTh device may affect the operation of electronic medicaldevices. Turn off the system and other BlUeTooTh devices in the following locations, as it maycause an accident.ˋ where inflammable gas is present, in a hospital, train, airplane, or a gas stationˋ near automatic doors or a fire alarmNotesˎˎ To be able to use the BlUeTooTh function, the BlUeTooTh device to be connected requires thesame profile as the system’s.Note also that even if the same profile exists, devices may vary in function depending on theirspecifications.ˎˎ Due to the characteristic of BlUeTooTh wireless technology, the sound played on the system isslightly delayed from the sound played on the BlUeTooTh device during talking on thetelephone or listening to the music.ˎˎ This system supports security capabilities that comply with the BlUeTooTh standard to provide asecure connection when the BlUeTooTh wireless technology is used, but security may not beenough depending on the setting. Be careful when communicating using BlUeTooTh wirelesstechnology.ˎˎ We do not take any responsibility for the leakage of information during BlUeTooThcommunication.ˎˎ A device featuring the BlUeTooTh function is required to conform to the BlUeTooTh standardspecified by Bluetooth SIG, and be authenticated. even if the connected device conforms to theabove mentioned BlUeTooTh standard, some devices may not be connected or work correctly, depending on the features or specifications of the device.ˎˎ Noise or sound skips may occur depending on the BlUeTooTh device connected with thesystem, the communication environment or the usage environment.SpecificationsSpeaker sectionSpeaker system Approx. 45 mm dia. × 2enclosure type Bass reflexAmplifier sectionMaximum output powerUsing USB AC adaptor and battery: 10 W + 10 WUsing battery only: 5 W + 5 W(at 10 % harmonic distortion,1 khz, 8 Ω)BlUETOOThCommunication SystemBlUeTooTh Specification version 3.0output BlUeTooTh Specification Power Class 2Maximum communication rangeline of sight approx. 10 m*1Frequency band 2.4 Ghz band (2.4000 Ghz - 2.4835 Ghz)Modulation method FhSSCompatible BlUeTooTh Profiles*2A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile)hSP (headset Profile)hFP (hands-free Profile)Supported Codec* 3 SBC*4Transmission range (A2DP)20 hz - 20,000 hz (Sampling frequency 44.1 khz)* 1 The actual range will vary depending on factors such as obstacles between devices, magneticfields around a microwave oven, static electricity, reception sensitivity, aerial’s performance, operating system, software application, etc.*2 BlUeTooTh standard profiles indicate the purpose of BlUeTooTh communication betweendevices.*3 Codec: Audio signal compression and conversion format*4 Subband CodecMicrophoneType electret condenserDirectional characteristicomni directionaleffective frequency range200 hz - 4,000 hzGeneralInput AUDIo IN jack (ø 3.5 mm stereo mini jack)Power DC 5 V 1.5 A (using the supplied USB AC adaptor connected to AC 100 V - 240V, 50 hz/60 hz, 0.3 A power supply) or, using built-in lithium-ion batteryUsage life of lithium-ion battery (using the BlUeTooTh connection)approx. 5 hours*5Dimensions (including projecting parts and controls)Approx. 171 mm × 60.5 mm × 56.5 mm (w/h/d)Mass Approx. 500 g including batterySupplied accessoriesUSB AC adaptor (AC-S5V15AS)*6 (1)Carrying pouch (1)Quick Start Guide (1)Reference Guide (this document) (1)Warranty Card (1)* 5 Time may vary, depending on the temperature or conditions of use.*6 Use only the supplied USB AC adaptor.
