881 Insert a tape to the main camcorder fromwhich you want to generate the time code.2 Set the POWER switches of the main andsub camcorders to CAMERA.3 Connect the sub camcorder to the maincamcorder with an i.LINK cable.4 Set the main and sub camcorder as follows:• Set [TC RUN] to [FREE RUN] (p. 87).• Set [TC MAKE] to [PRESET] (p. 87).Set the sub camcorders as follows:5 Select [TC/UB SET] t [TC LINK] withthe SEL/PUSH EXEC dial.The message [Synchronize TC withconnected device?] appears.6 Select [YES] to synchronize the time codeof the sub camcorder with that of the maincamcorder. Disconnect the i.LINK cablefrom your camcorders whensynchronization is completed. You canrecord with the synchronized time codesusing those camcorders.b Notes• If you want to execute [TC LINK] for more thantwo camcorders, repeat the steps for multiplesub camcorders with one main camcorder.• Some frame shifting may occur over time aftertime code synchronization.• Some frame shifting may occur if you turn thepower off and back on.
