22 PrecautionsCautionConnect the DC connector to the equipment, and thenconnect the AC power cord of the AC adaptor.When disconnecting the DC connector, disconnect theAC power cord of the AC adaptor before disconnectingthe DC connector.Do not touch the patient and the pin of the DC connectorat the same time.The pin of the DC connector applies a voltage of 24 V,which may harm the patient.CautionDo not touch the patient while touching the center pin ofthe SDI connector.If there is a fault with the unit or the AC adapter, a voltagemay be generated that may harm the patient.CautionUse only the dedicated HMO-CA50M connection cableto connect the HMI-3000MT and HMM-3000MT.The use of a different cable or extension cable may causethe unit to operate incorrectly.PrecautionsThis device is designed and manufactured for use inmedical purposes. Do not use the device for any otherpurpose.Precautions for safe operation• Some people may experience discomfort (such as eyestrain, fatigue, or nausea) while watching video images.Sony recommends that all viewers take regular breakswhile watching video images. The length and frequencyof necessary breaks will vary from person to person.You must decide what works best. In addition, prepare a backup unit if necessary.
