5Getting StartedResetting the unitBefore operating the unit for the first time, orafter replacing the boat’s battery or changing theconnections, you must reset the unit.Open the front panel and press the RESET buttonwith a pointed object, such as a ball-point pen.NotePressing the RESET button will erase the clock settingand some stored contents.Preparing the card remotecommanderBefore using the card remote commander for thefirst time, remove the insulation film.Setting the clockCDX-HS70MW/HS70MS:12-hour indicationCDX-HR70MW/HR70MS:24-hour indication1 Press and hold (SELECT).The setup display appears.2 Press (SELECT) repeatedly until“CLOCK-ADJ” appears.3 Press (SEEK) +.The hour indication flashes.4 Rotate the volume control dial to setthe hour and minute.To move the digital indication, press (DSPL).5 Press (SELECT).The setup is complete and the clock starts.To display the clock, press (DSPL). Press(DSPL) again to return to the previous display.With the card remote commanderIn step 4, to set the hour and minute, press M or m.TipYou can set the clock automatically with the RDSfeature (page 11).
