Do nottouch the surface.Dust, fingerprints, or scratcheson the disc may cause it tomalfunction.• Do not expose the disc todirect sunlight or heat sourcessuch as hot air ducts, or leave itin a car parked in directsunlight as the temperaturemay rise considerably insidethe car.• After playing, store the disc inits case.• Clean the disc with a cleaningcloth. Wipe the disc from thecentre out.• Do not use solvents such asbenzine, thinner,commercially available disc/lens cleaners, or anti-staticspray intended for vinyl LPs.• If you have printed the disc’slabel, dry the label beforeplaying.• Do not use the following discs.– A lens cleaning disc.– A disc that has a non-standard shape (e.g., card,heart).– A disc with a label or stickeron it.– A disc that has cellophanetape or sticker adhesive on it.• Do not resurface the playingside of a disc to removesurface scratches.PrecautionsThis equipment has been testedand found to comply with thelimits set out in the EMCDirective using a connectioncable shorter than 3 metres.On placement• Place the player in a locationwith adequate ventilation toprevent heat build-up in theplayer.• Do not place the player on asoft surface such as a rug thatmight block the ventilationholes.• Do not install this player in aconfined space, such as abookshelf or similar unit.• Do not place the player in alocation near heat sources, orin a place subject to directsunlight, excessive dust, ormechanical shock.• Do not place the playeroutdoors, in vehicles, on ships,or on other vessels.• If the player is brought directlyfrom a cold to a warm location,or is placed in a very damproom, moisture may condenseon the lenses inside the player.Should this occur, the playermay not operate properly.
